After my thesis on high-speed rail policy, I joined a European think-tank in Rotterdam dealing with transport policy, followed by the Dutch Ministry of Transport, where I conducted comparative studies (transport and land-use planning) and disseminated research findings of European Framework Programme projects. In Vienna, I joined a research institute doing interdisciplinary social science research and assisted the coordinator of a EU-wide project on regional innovation.

Advance notice is always preferable. If the text is very short (less than ten pages), I can probably squeeze it in. But for longer texts, one or two weeks' notice are advisable.
Books need to be planned well in advance.
