I hold a BSc in Human Sciences from UCL where I studied a wide range of subjects from the life sciences and social and historical sciences.

I also have over five years’ in-house editorial experience within science publishing, across a variety of formats and subject areas – from biomedical journal articles at Biomed Central to academic monographs and undergraduate bioscience and chemistry textbooks at Oxford University Press. 

I trained in proofreading with the highly regarded Publishing Training Centre and I have several years’ experience working in-house for academic and educational publishers.

I have experience of working on:

• books (non-fiction) and textbooks

• journals and individual articles

• research papers, theses, and dissertations

Subject areas: I have worked on material across the life sciences and social sciences, including biology, anthropology, psychology, and human geography

I am happy to take on proofreading projects of any size, large or small. I can work on-screen in Word (using Track Changes) or PDF (using PDF mark-up tools or BSI stamps).
