I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, with my undergraduate degree in political science and film/television. I hold a master's degree in education from Lipscomb University. I have edited academic papers in the areas of political science and anthropology.

I am a freelance copy editor and proofreader who has worked for professors, marketing companies, and multiple publishing houses on both fiction and nonfiction books. I gained extensive knowledge of the quirks of the English language as I prepared and edited scripts for CNN, Headline News, and CNN.com in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition, I also shared my love of language as a teacher in a middle school classroom for four years.

I became a freelance editor in 2013 and have since worked on numerous bestselling books and several academic papers in the areas of political science and anthropology. I only work on projects that adhere to the Chicago Manual of Style (CMS).
