I hold a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology from Universidad Iberoamericana in Dominican Republic and a Master's degree in Sociology from The New School for Social Research in New York City.
As a freelance proofreader and/or translator, I have worked in the fields of education, public health, film and advertising. I am based in New York City, but do freelance projects for different clients in South America and the Caribbean as well.
Prior work includes:
-Advertising: I do copyediting and Spanish creative adaptations for advertising agencies including Grey Advertising, for brands such as Papa John's, Febreze, COVERGIRL, Downy, Olay, Pantene, NFL, Nestle, National Parks Foundation, T.J.Maxx, Quaker State, Basaglar, Advil, among others.
-Academia: I work closely with research professors, mostly in the Sociology field, proofreading and editing their research articles for journal submission.
- Film Industry: I work ongoingly with writers and directors in the film industry, mainly in New York City and the Caribbean, editing and translating film scripts as well as subtitling.
- Public Health: I have done writing, translation and editing of research articles, newsletters, program curricula and media outreach materials in both English and Spanish, for nonprofit organizations working with at-risk populations across the U.S. and the Caribbean.

I am available for both proofreading and translating projects. I usually ask for a one day notice for short projects and anywhere from 2-3 days to a week for lengthier projects such.
